Faye Lewis Theurer

Faye Bair Lewis Theurer passed away December 30, 2005, surrounded by her family. She was faithful and gracious, enduring to the end. She was born October 19, 1917, in Richmond, Utah, to Cyrus and Edna Lewis. After graduating from North Cache High School she was employed by the U. S. Post Office. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and held various callings. On September 20, 1939, she married her soul-mate, Mark Low Theurer, in the Logan LDS Temple. After traveling extensively during World War II with Mark, she worked with him operating Theurer?s Store in Richmond and Lewiston for over 50 years. They loved Richmond City and its residents ? always anxious to meet new people and participate in community activities. She enjoyed handwork, RV traveling, camping, fishing, and golfing with her life-long Richmond Buddies. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Faye leaves a legacy of love, service, caring, and nurturing, not only for her family, but for all those with whom she came in contact. Her concern was always for others rather than herself. Survivors include two sons and two daughters; Scott Ann Theurer, Providence, UT., Elizabeth Chris Johnson, Salt Lake City, UT., Julie Ann Bruce Collet, Centerville, UT., Jeffrey Elaine Theurer, Richmond, UT; a sister, Bonne Littledike, Logan, UT., a brother, Warren C. Redia Lewis, Colorado Springs, Colorado. Nanny also had 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in , by her loving husband, Mark, of 67 years. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Legacy House along with Doctors Stones and Anderson, IHC Home Care, Ann Burger, Britgette and Heidi Christensen, Aimee Panter, and Tara Lee Allen for the kindness and care they gave Mom. She appreciated their friendship and association. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 6, 2006, at noon in the Richmond Stake Center, 135 West Main, Richmond, Utah, under the direction of Nelson Funeral Home and Bishop B. John Gilbert. A viewing will be held at the Stake Center Thursday evening, January 5, 2005, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M and Friday from 10:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. prior to the funeral services.
