Faunice Larsen Laub

Tremonton - Faunice Larsen Laub, 89, passed away on Friday, May 28, 2004. She was born on February 17, 1915 in Spring City, Utah to LaVar and Ivadene Anderson Larsen. She married Merril J. Laub in Ogden, Utah on July 19, 1933. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple September 9, 1936.
She lived in Spring City, Garland, Snowville and Tremonton and was a graduate of Bear River High School. She and Merril opened Buttons and Bolts Fabric Store and worked side-by-side as co-owners until retirement. She was a member of the Tremonton Women's Civic League for 50 plus years where she was honored as Club Woman and Mother of the Year. She also belonged to the Tremonton Literary Club. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served several presidencies including; Primary, YWMIA, and Relief Society and as a Visiting Teacher for many years. She was a wonderful cook and spent many hours in her beautiful flower gardens. She loved to travel but most of all she loved to be with her children and grandchildren.
Faunice is survived by her children: Gaye Hartley Anderson, Farr West, Utah, Arline Boyd Parker, Tremonton, Utah, Merrilyn Neil Nelson, Bear River City, Utah, VaLoy Blair Hawkes, Malad, Idaho; two brothers, Farrell Larsen, South Jordan, Utah and Rodney Larsen, St. George, Utah; one sister, Edyth L. Smith, Kaysville, Utah, and 21 grandchildren, 68 great grandchildren and six great great granchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, one sister, one granddaughter, and three great grandsons.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 3, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Tremonton 5th Ward Chapel located at 300 South Tremont Street, Tremonton, Utah. Family and friends may call on Wednesday, June 2, 2004 from 6-8 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home located at 111 North 100 East, Tremonton, Utah and on Thursday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church prior to the funeral.
Interment will be at the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery.
