Farrell Dennis Huggins

BEAR RIVER CITY, UT?on September 13, 2002, our husband, father, brother, and grandfather, Farrell Dennis Huggins, 76, passed away at his home in Bear River City of heart failure. He was born October 22, 1925 in Bear River City, the first child of J. Ernest and Andrea H. Huggins. He attended his hometown schools and graduated from Box Elder High School. After his military service he met Marjorie Helms. They were married on December 15, 1946, in Mineral Point, Wisconsin. They moved home to Bear River where he farmed with his father and brother. They were the parents of five children who survive him: Kristi Ed Williams, Bear River City; Sheila Larry Dixon, Fallbrook, California; Dennis Huggins, Bear River City; Holly David Jensen, Brigham City; and Margie Gary Anderson, Farmington. As a young man he enjoyed playing baseball and played on several teams. He continued to attend the games of his son and grandsons until his death. After the death of his wife, Marjorie, in November 1958, he worked at Thiokol and continued to farm. On April 23, 1977, he married Rosie Christensen Nelson. With this union, he gained five more children whom he loved as his own. He is survived by his wife, Rosie, his children, and his stepchildren: Gayle Lyone Cutler; Wayne Nelson, Judy Mike Purser, Dan Susan Nelson, and Susan Rick Roche. He has eighteen grandchildren, 13 step-grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister Fae Ann Jim Karo, Scottsdale, Arizona, and a brother Joe Dell LaNette Huggins of Bear River City. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Marge, brother Reese and sister-in-law Feilila Huggins. Friends may call on Monday, September 16th from 6-8 p.m. at the Rogers and Taylor Mortuary 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and from 9:30 ?10:45 a.m. at the Bear River City Church. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Bear River First Ward. Interment will be at the Bear River City Cemetery with military honors.
