Tremonton, UT- Evelyn Steffenhagen Borgstrom passed away on Christmas Eve Dec. 24, 2008 in Brigham City, UT. She was the Daughter of Herman and Annie Hincks Steffenhagen. Evelyn was born on Dec 23, 1926 in Logan, UT. She graduated from Logan High School. She married Eldon Kay Borgstrom on Mar. 17, 1951. They made their home in Tremonton where they raised their five daughters. Mom and Dad were very loving and dedicated parents and loved to spend time with their girls. Mom worked at the Bear River Valley Hospital for 17 years as a cook. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and attended the Tremonton 2nd Ward. She taught in the Primary and Sunday school. Evelyn is survived by her loving companion Claude Stapp with loving memories of time spent together. Her loving Sister Melba Didericksen; Her five Daughters: Kathy Lee Nielsen Von, Julie Ann Jones Steven, Deborah Kay Long Brad, Susan Laurie Mortensen Kevin, Karen Judy Rapich Scott; six Grandchildren: Jason Nelson Nicole, Jennifer Nelson, Hillary Lee Nielsen, Haylee and Mallary Jones, Sasha Mortensen; 2 Great Grandchildren Gracie and Hudson Nelson. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband Eldon in June of 1980, Brother Marvin Steffenhagen and Brother-in-law Merlin Didericksen. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008 2:00 PM at the Tremonton 2nd Ward 300 South Tremont St. Tremonton, UT. Friends may call Tuesday from 12:30 – 1:30 PM at the church prior to the Funeral Services. Interment will follow in the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery.
