Ethel Christensen Nelson

Tremonton ? Ethel Blondie Nelson, 79, died Sept. 3, 2006. Blondie was born on Feb. 12, 1927 in Bear River City, to Daniel and Jeanetta Christensen. She was raised and educated in Bear River City, and married Ray Nelson on October 11, 1947, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Blondie worked as a waitress for many years in Tremonton area cafes. She worked for Thiokol where she was loved and respected by her peers. She retired from Thiokol in 1992. Blondie had a great love for her garden and her little dog Tassie. She also enjoyed crocheting and spoiling the grandchildren. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, her selfless acts of kindness will always be remembered. Blondie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Blondie is survived by her husband Ray, son Marston Connie, daughters Vicki Neil, Sharon, Karen Kelly. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Rosie Huggins.
Blondie was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, and 1 grandson.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at 11:00 am at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, located at 111 North 100 East. The family would like to thank the Hospice staff for their support and care. We love you Mom.
