Elsie Barnard Heusser, 84, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2005 at the Bear River Valley Hospital in Tremonton. She was born July 24, 1921 in Deweyville, Utah, the daughter of John Porter and Lavinia Orme Barnard. She married Raymond Heusser on September 4, 1940 in the Salt Lake LDS temple. Raymond passed away January 25, 2000. Elsie graduated from Bear River High School. She also attended Utah State University. She lived in Deweyville except for a short time in Bear River City and the last 5 months at Peachtree Assisted Living in Tremonton. She was employed at Sego Milk, Mayfair Market and Smith?s and retired from IRS. She treasured her friendships made at IRS. Elsie was a beautiful seamstress and loved to crochet and quilt. She was always game for a trip to Wendover. Elsie enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends. Christmas was a special time at the Heusser house. Elsie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Deweyville Ward. She enjoyed working with her friend Norma Haycock as Work Day Leader and with Beverly Norr on the ward bulletin. She is survived by her children, Porter Ray Linda Heusser, Kaysville; Val Joseph Cathy Heusser, North Logan; Diane Chuck Christensen, Tremonton; grandchildren, Lisa Jeff, Shawn Paula, Rebecca Mike, Scott Stephanie, Jeff Angie, Jennifer Brandon, Valerie Jo Jared, Jenny, Jimmy, Bryan, Caleb, Jared Amber, Heather Rich, Stacy Scott, Zachary, Darcie; great-grandchildren, Brock, Kiley, Hunter, Brady, Emma, Jaynie, Jaxon, Hayden, Tate, Hannah, Makaya, Deven, Gracie, Julian, Elise Rae, and two more on the way; sister-in-law, Louise Lorig; brother-in-law, Maurice Fowers; daughter-in-law Carol Ann; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond, infant daughter Marva Jane, five brothers, Horace, James, Vearl, Homer, John; four sisters, Mary, Esther, LaRee, Lavinia. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at 12:00 noon at the Deweyville LDS Ward Chapel, 10750 North Highway 38. Friends may call Monday, October 17th from 6-8 p.m. at the Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and Tuesday, October 18th from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the church. Interment in the Deweyville Cemetery.
