Elmer Warren Hall Garland: Elmer Warren Hall, 92, a loving, kind husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his children, May 22, 2002. Elmer was born September 24, 1909, to Warren Elmer and Olive Haws Hall in Elwood, UT. He was raised and educated in Holbrook and Malad, Idaho, where he participated in basketball, football, track and band. He married Fern Capener May 18, 1932, in the Logan LDS temple. They made their home in Garland, Utah, where they just celebrated their 70th anniversary together. Elmer farmed, worked for U & I Sugar Co. and later retired from Thiokol Corp. He loved music and will be remembered for his musical ability on the saxophone. He is also well known for his ?Hall Orchestra? which played for some 50 years at weddings and church socials throughout the valley bringing much joy and pleasure to young and old. Elmer was a member of the LDS church. He coached young men?s basketball, served in the Elder?s quorum, High Priests and as a home teacher. He was a member of the Garland Lions Club for many years and served a term as president. Elmer is survived by his wife Fern, Garland; two sons and five daughters, Gary Yvonne Hall, Delta; Ned Ann Hall, Lindon; Gail Mark Jensen, Collinston; Sherrill Dean Larry Dorius, Kaysville; Bonnie Bud Theurer, Tremonton; Betty Bryce Jeppsen, Mantua; Ronna Mike ?Chunk? Richardson, Hyrum; 38 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother Dean Hall, Mesa, AZ; three sisters, Olive Fifield and Vica Germer, Clearfield, UT; Myrtle Tayson, Tempe, AZ; and a sister-in-law Wilma Hall, Mesa, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dee; son-in-law, Mark; grandson, Roger. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 25, 2002, 12:00 p.m. at the Garland 4th Ward Chapel, 175 South Main, Garland, with Bishop Brent Larsen conducting. Family and friends may call Fri. May 24th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. or Sat. May 25th from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton. Interment will be in the Garland City Cemetery.
