Ellen LeOra Daisy Pitcher Gyllenskog, 89, of Smithfield passed away on August 24, 2005. She was born on July 6, 1916 in Smithfield, Utah to Ellen Nellie and Arthur Pticher. She married Arthur Gyllenskog on November 16, 1938 in the Logan LDS Temple. They had three children: Ned Kelly of Sandy, Utah; Jon Pat of El Centro, California; and Judy Craig Harris of Richmond, Utah. Daisy was the proud grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Daisy was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she served in many callings: the Relief Society president, Primary president, Sunday School teacher and several years of extraction work. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed gardening, bowling, and was a member of the Smithfield Literary Club for many years. Daisy is survived by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, a brother, Robert Pitcher and a sister, Dorothy Pitcher Milar. She was preceded in death by her husband Art and three brothers: Ronald Pitcher, Bill Pitcher, and Melvin Pitcher. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 29, 2005 at the Smithfield 4th Ward/North Stake Center, 155 West 400 North, with Bishop Kevin Moser conducting. Friends and family may call from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, August 28, at Nelson Funeral Home, 85 South Main, Smithfield and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church prior to services.
