Smithfield ? Elizabeth Whittle Fisher, 96, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 27, 2002 at the Logan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Logan. She was born October 17, 1905 in Richmond, Utah to Fredrick and Dorothy Thomas Whittle. She was raised in Richmond, attending the local schools and graduating from North Cache High School. She married Firm Fisher on June 1, 1927 in the Logan LDS Temple and together they started their family in Smithfield, where they remained for the remainder of their lives. She always worked hard taking care of her family and helping with the farm and chores. She taught Primary for many years. She had a wonderful memory, never complained and was a delight to be around. Elizabeth is survived by her four children: Sharon Ken Roberts, Grace, Idaho; Hal W. Joyclyn Fisher, Smithfield; Rhonda Donald Horsley, Wellsville; and John L. Bonnie Fisher, Benson. She also is survived by one brother: John Whittle, Richmond; one sister, Dorothy Smith, Smithfield; 15 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Firm in December of 1966, one son, Devar and one daughter, Faye. Funeral services will be held on at 12:00 Noon on Monday, July 1, 2002 at the Smithfield 11th Ward Chapel, 179 North 100 East, with Bishop Alan Webb conducting. Services are under the direction of Nelson Funeral Home. Friends and family may call from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Smithfield City Cemetery.
