Eleanor Stewart Parker passed on to the next world on March 2, 2007, rejoining her beloved husband and companion, Aubrey Horace Parker, who died in 2005. Eleanor, known to her family as ?Grummy?, was born July 29, 1909 in Lompoc, California to Frederick M. Stewart and Augusta Shuster. She married her eternal companion, Aubrey, on September 7, 1929 in Santa Barbara. He introduced her to and later baptized her into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a dedicated member throughout her life. Eleanor and Aubrey were sealed for time and all eternity on June 15, 1933 in the Salt Lake Temple. They exemplified a celestial marriage with their love and dedication to one another for over 75 years. They enjoyed traveling together and working side-by-side on their home and beautiful yard. In 1936, they moved their family to Cache Valley to seek a better climate for their children?s health. Eleanor and her husband were the parents of 4 sons: Stewart who preceded her in death, David, Robert, and Alan. She also has 21 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren surviving. She spent the rest of her long life in Cache Valley as a wife, mother and homemaker. Eleanor and her husband served a mission to Colorado in 1973 and as ordinance workers in the Logan Temple for five years. But her life-long passion was genealogy. She spent countless hours and made many journeys to discover details of the lives of her ancestors. She will be remembered for her dedication and her expertise in genealogy, which she shared with many others. One had only to show an interest in her work to be held captive for hours with stories of her ancestors and the lives they led. She also had a unique gift for knitting and could produce wonderful designs seemingly at will. She had an entire room dedicated to her craft, filled with yarns of all kinds and colors. Her grandchildren all cherished the beautiful sweaters she made for them at several times throughout their lives. She cherished her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren and could relate details of their lives until a short time before her death. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM , Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at the Providence 10th Ward Chapel, 355 Canyon Road. Friends and family may call Wednesday morning at the church from 9 to 10:30 AM prior to the services. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery. Condolences may be extended to the family online at
