Edna Mae Ward Thompson Riverside, UT ? Edna Mae Ward Thompson, 88, passed away March 4, 2002, at the home in Riverside where she was born. She was born June 21, 1913, the daughter of John Henry and Edna Benson Ward. She married Odell Shumway Thompson, December 29, 1937, in the Logan LDS Temple. For the first 22 years of marriage they lived on the West Coast, Hawaii and Guam. They lived in Napa, CA from 1960 to 1998. The last four years have been spent in her childhood home in Riverside. She was a life long, active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in all of the church auxiliaries. She is survived by her husband, Odell, Riverside; children, James Ward Thompson, Ogden; Mary Edna Thompson, Riverside; David Vaughn Colleen Thompson, Sacramento, CA; Coralie Jane Robert Niklewicz, Rohnert Park, CA; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a brother, Frank B. Ward, Ogden. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Karl E. Ward and a sister, E. Amanda W. Hermansen. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 9, 2002, 12:00 noon at the Belmont 2nd Ward Chapel, 16925 North 5200 West, Riverside. Friends may call Saturday ONLY from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. at the Church. Arrangements under the direction of Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, Tremonton. Interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made to the Utah?s Heritage Hospice, 25 South Main Street, Suite #210, Centerville, Utah 84014.
