Earl Edwin Wood, 91, died November 27, 2006, in Cedar Hills, Utah. He was born November 15, 1915 in Howell, Utah to James Collin and Emma Farrel Wood, one of eight children. He grew up on his parents? ranch in Howell. Earl continued working with his dad on the ranch, which he later purchased when his father retired. He continued to operate the ranch until his own retirement in 1979. He married Genevieve ?Jeny? Hafner March 26, 1938 in Brigham City, Utah.
Earl was active in the community, serving several terms as mayor of Howell and as the co-chairman of an extensive water conservation project conducted in the Howell Valley. After his retirement, he and Jeny enjoyed traveling and fishing. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Uriah, Jim, Arthur, Carmen, Wynn and one sister, Elaine Barnes. He is survived by his wife, Jeny, his two sons, Robert Kathie, Larry Geri and one sister, Penny Reeder. Earl and Jeny have nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 2, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton, Utah. A viewing will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. prior to the funeral. Interment at Willard Cemetery.
