Dustin Mark Preece of Hyrum, UT returned to his loving Heavenly Father on Wednesday, June 7, 2023. He was born to Mark Todd Preece and Dawn Marie Ferrier Wilson. He graduated from Cache High School and Weber State University where he graduated 3 months early with honors in Computer Science.
Dustin met his sweetheart in High School and they later married at the top of Mount Logan. They had one daughter.
Dustin loved camping. Especially his yearly camping trips with his father up to the Uinta’s, R/C car racing and going to the sand dunes with his family and friends. He also enjoyed going rock climbing with family and friends in Moab, Utah.
In his younger years he enjoyed going off his handmade jumps on his BMX bike he bought with his paper route money. He also took piano lessons even though he didn’t take much to playing the piano. He also enjoyed learning karate. Breaking boards was one of his favorite accomplishments of karate.
From the age of 14 he learned to take computers apart and put them back together. He also loved to draw and was very good at it. He loved teaching his daughter about computers and always encouraged her to be the best that she could be. He also really enjoyed skiing and snowboarding with his family.
Dustin is survived by his daughter, his mother, Dawn Mare Ferrier Wilson; his father, Mark Todd Preece; his sisters, Lynze & Tonya Preece; his brother, Brandon Naylor; as well as 12 nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by Val D. Preece (uncle) & Mark Vernon Preece (grandfather).
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 15 at 12:00 noon at Nelson Funeral Home (162 E 400 N Logan, UT) with a viewing from 10:30-11:30 am and on Wednesday, June 14 from 6-8 pm at the same location. Interment will follow the funeral at the Logan City Cemetery.
