Douglas Elwood Grindeland

Douglas Elwood Grindeland, 75, of Smithfield, UT passed away November 25, 2009 at his home. He was born February 17, 1934 in Minneapolis, MN to Clarence Ingvald & Evelyn Alpha Kron Grindeland. In 1953 he went into the Air Force and was discharged in 1957. He was a Crew Chief for the Air Force. He went to Santa Monica College to get a Bachelor of Science & Bachelor of Art degree. He was a draftsman for Hughes Aircraft. Douglas and Glenda were married February 28, 2009. He was baptized the 14th of March into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is survived by his wife; Glenda Joyce Grindeland; Brothers; Gordon Leslie Grindeland, Kenneth Clarence Grindeland; Sisters; Darlene Evelyn Slocum and Dorothy Clara Grindeland. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Smithfield 21st Ward Chapel, 345 East 300 South, Smithfield. Interment will take place at a future date.
