Dora Woodward Izatt

April 8, 1917 — June 22, 2005

Dora Woodward Izatt returned to the loving arms of her Father in Heaven June 22, 2005 surrounded by her family. Dora was born April 8, 1917 to Hyrum and Jessie Woodward in Wellsville, UT. She finished two years of college before marrying the love of her life Max ?Kelly? Izatt on March 29, 1941. They had three daughters; Maxine Bright Terry, Linda Evans Michael, and Colleen Moon Bill. Dora worked for Sears for 25 plus years and made many friends during this time. She was active in the Business Professional Woman?s Club BPW holding several offices including President. She was active in the LDS 13th Ward church. She taught Primary and was in the Relief Society Presidency. Her love of history helped her to put together a historical pictorial for her ward Relief Society that made her very proud. Dora and Max were married for 39 years when he passed away. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Elmer and Hyrum Woodward. Her son-in-law Bill who she loved as a son also preceded her in death a year ago. Dora is survived by her sister Isabel Davis of Kaysville, her three daughters, four grandchildren Kelli Barker Bret, Hollie Richards Dan, Tiffany Gardner Blair, and Alex Evans Sarah. She was blessed with eight great-grandchildren; Kristen, Torie, and Mitchel Barker; Chance and Max Richards, and Haylee, Tali, and Jaxon Gardner. They lovingly called her Grandma-great and they were an immense source of joy to her. We want to thank Dr. Scott Cunningham for the years of compassionate care he gave our Mom. We also want to thank Vista Hospice, specifically Peggy Wolfley, for their care in the last months of her life. And to all of her neighbors that lovingly watched after her, a special thanks. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2005 at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan. Friends and family may call Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery.
