Donna Jean Wight

Tremonton - Our loving Mother and Grandmother, Donna Clark Russell Wight, 73, passed away on March 17, 2005 of pneumonia. Donna was born on June 24, 1931 to Clem and Eva Clark. She was the third child and the first girl and was received with much joy into her family.
Donna was raised in Idaho Falls and Pocatello, attending schools in both places. She received many awards and recognitions growing up, and was the Valedictorian of her class.
Donna was introduced to her first husband, Clifford Russell, by her brother Keith, and after a short courtship they were married on January 2, 1949. They are the parents of five daughters; Cathy Brian Moriarty, Patty Cronquist, Christy Olsen Reiser, Judy Jim Spurlock and Corinne Steve Atwood.
Donna later married Leslie Wight on December 24, 1971, and they were blessed with their daughter Emily David Barton, and she became the proud step mother of David Wight, Leslie Alene Reed Nelson, Paul Wight and daughter-in-law, Ethel Ann Wight Clark.
She is the very proud and loving Grandma to 25 Grandchildren and 22 Great Grandchildren with whom she had a special relationship to each one.
Her living brothers are Keith, Richard, and Neil Clark. Her living sisters are MaryAnn Neil Trahant, Lorraine Kenneth Mitton and Lois Paul Wannamaker. One sister-in-law Randi Doug Johnson and a special Uncle, Clarence Bray.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Wight; her parents, Clem Clark and Eva Johnson; step parents, Carl Johnson and Rita Clark; brothers, Kenneth and Grant Clark and Douglas Johnson; one sister, Doris Aldana; step sons, David and Paul Wight, and Grandchildren , Tyler Wight and Stevie Michelle Moates.
A special thanks to her dear friends, Dr. Rod Merrell and Marlene Shirley for their kindness and compassion to our Mother.
Mom was the heart and soul of our family and she will be greatly missed, until we are blessed to be in her presence again.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate her life at a viewing at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home located at 111 North 100 East, Tremonton, Utah on Sunday evening, March 20, 2005 from 6-8 p.m. and also on Monday morning, March 21, 2005 at the Thatcher Church located at 11475 West 10400 North, Thatcher, Utah from 10:00-11:30 a.m. with the funeral services beginning at 12:00 noon in the Thatcher Chapel conducted by her dear friend, Bishop Craven.
Interment will be at the Bothwell Valley View Cemetery
