Tremonton- Donna Pallisco Smith, was born May 25, 1957, in the Bronx, New York, to Michael Pallisco and Dora Calderalo Pallisco. Donna passed away September 4, 2011 in Salt Lake City, Utah, at the age of 54, after a year and a half battle with illness. Donna was raised Catholic, and although she was no longer active in her church later in life, she was always a very spiritual person. Donna moved to Tremonton, UT in August of 1995 with her family; husband Steve, sons Dave and Danny, and daughter Ali. When Donna and her family first arrived to Utah, they were welcomed into the home of Steve's childhood friend, Dan Franks along with his wife Martha, and their children Chuck and Danielle. Moving to Utah was a big change; she loved the East Coast, and missed the ocean and the trees but came to truly love the mountains, as well as the comforts of small-town life. Donna made uncountable friends, both in New York and in Utah, and touched the lives of many along the way, many of whom she met while working at Westside Chevron. She finished her working life as a federal employee at the IRS complex in Ogden, UT. Donna's children were her life, and despite her small stature, she was very tough and would do anything she could to protect them. She worked very hard to provide for them, as well. Her favorite band was U2, and later on she became a big fan of Jack Johnson. Donna enjoyed reading, and games of all kinds; puzzles, computer games, cards, etc. But most of all, Donna loved rooting for her son Danny and his many baseball teams. Having been from New York, Donna was an avid fan of the New York Yankees baseball team, as is the rest of her family. One of her favorite T-shirts read, "I root for two teams, the Yankees, and whoever the Red Sox are playing." Donna is survived by her husband of 29 years, Steve, her three children, Dave, Ali, and Danny, her sister Theresa, her step-mother Carole, and cousins, nieces, and nephews. Donna's family is planning a memorial in her honor Friday the 9th from 7-8 p.m., friend may call from 6-7 p.m. prior to the service at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home in Tremonton, 111 North 100 East.
