Donna Ranzenberger Seamons

Hyde Park - Donna Ranzenberger Seamons, 78, passed away peacefully at her home Thursday, September 27, 2007. She was born August 5, 1929 in Providence, Utah to David and Maud Lafay Walker Ranzenberger. Donna attended the local schools and graduated from South Cache High School. She married Lavon Herbert Seamons in the Logan Temple on January 8, 1954. Except for a short time when her husband was in the military, she has resided in Cache Valley. Donna worked at Utah State University as a cashier for over twenty-five years. Her heart was always in being a wife, mother, and homemaker. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and has held many callings over the years. She especially enjoyed serving in the Logan Temple with her husband. Donna enjoyed sewing, ceramics and most of all her grandchildren: Jessica Harrison, Stanley Lou Harrison, III, and Stepfanie Harrison, all of Vernal; Shayla Seamons of Logan; and Shantell Cody Hyer of Hyde Park. She is survived by her children: Teresa Harrison, Vernal; and Dave Stacy Seamons, Hyde Park. She is also survived by two sisters: Lola Ashliman and Elaine Richard Perkes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lavon; and two sisters: Ruth Ormond and Dolores Godfrey. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 1, 2007 at the Hyde Park 5th Ward Chapel, 63 East Center Street. Friends and family may call Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan and Monday morning at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Hyde Park Cemetery. Condolences may be extended to the family online at www.nelsonfuneralhome.com .
