Donna Hansen Dursteler, 81, returned peacefully to her Father in Heaven on Thursday, May 4, 2006. She was born October 3, 1924 in Logan, Utah to Varian William and Mabel Birch Hansen. At the age of 2, her family moved to Preston, Idaho, where she attended the local schools, graduating from Preston High School. She married her sweetheart, William S. Dursteler, in the Logan Temple for time and all eternity on September 8, 1942. Shortly after their marriage, William enlisted in the Air Force and thus began a life of travel and adventure. She lovingly followed and supported him through thirteen states and one foreign country, making each place a home. Donna was active in the LDS church and kindness was her greatest gift. She gave selfless service to her family as well as all those around her. She was a very loving wife and mother. When not serving her family, she enjoyed golf and bowling. She is survived by her loving husband, William; children: William H. Helena Dursteler, Salt Lake City, Utah; Devra Dennis Lopez, Idaho Falls, Idaho; Betty Jo Lee Black, Smithfield, Utah; 17 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Gilbert Hansen, Smithfield, Utah and a sister, Dorthy Kirby, Ogden, Utah. She was preceded in death by her parents. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2006 at the Whitney Cemetery in Whitney, Idaho. Services are under the direction of Nelson Funeral Home.
