Donna Thorpe (Murray) Andrew

Donna Thorpe Murray Andrew passed away peacefully at her home Friday, January 31, she had just celebrated her 100th birthday on Nov. 17 surrounded by family and friends. She was born in Wellsville Utah, to James Littlewood and Emeline Riggs Thorpe Murray, the youngest of eleven children. They later moved to Richmond where Donna grew up helping on the farm, gaining many skills from her parents and learning how to be a good honest worker. While living in Richmond she graduated from North Cache High School.

 Donna met her eternal sweetheart, Calvin Andrew on Friday, May the 13th, 1949. They were married August the 15th 1950; the marriage was later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple.

 She has worked at Bushnell Hospital helping soldiers who came back from WWII, Sego/Pet Milk, Schreiber Foods and served on the Trenton town council. Donna had a strong testimony of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many callings. She is an extraordinary lady with many talents. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, making wedding cakes, making dolls, painting and canning. She also enjoyed being out in her garden and is well known for her cooking.

 She is a very loving and compassionate person, always making sure others needs are met before her own. 

Donna is survived by her children; Debra Andrew, Bette (Art) LaMont, Jeff Andrew, Nansi Malesic, Cherie (Todd) Noble. 13 Grandchildren, 24 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by, her Husband Calvin Andrew, Granddaughter Tracy Lynn Andrew, Son in-law Dan Malesic, Parents, Brothers and Sisters. 

The family would like to thank Dr. Steven Salisbury, and Community Nursing Services and their staff; Holly, Laura, Lacie and Jason. They showed such compassion and care towards Donna. We really love and appreciate you for all the concern, care and love you gave to Donna. Mom/Grandma, Great Grandma we will miss you, we love you, but are so thankful you have been released from your worn out mortal body. The funeral for Donna will be held on Saturday, February 8th, 2025 at 1:00PM with a viewing from 11- 12:30 at the Trenton Church 400 W. 1200 N.  Interment will follow at the Richmond, Utah Cemetery.
