Brigham City - Donald Yoshikazu Tazoi, 55, died tragically in an industrial accident on Wednesday, February 4, 2004. Don was born December 10, 1948 to Jim Y. and Kimiko Yagi Tazoi. He attended Garland Elementary and in 1967 he graduated from Bear River High School where he participated in baseball, football and track. He had a black belt in Judo. After graduating he attended Utah State University. Don loved to travel and go and "hang out" with his close friends. He also spent endless hours on the golf course. Don served in the National Guard.
He married Sally Grobe, they later divorced. He married Anne Nisogi Meyer whom he also later divorced.
Don had a big heart and was loved and respected by many people and will be greatly missed by all.
Don is survived by his parents, one brother, Edwin J. Tazoi of Salt Lake City, his two beloved daughters Katie Akiko Tazoi and Doug Bartlett of Boston, Massachusetts and Emilee Haruko Tazoi and Justin Iverson of Brigham City, his best pal and grandson, Hunter Iverson of Brigham City and his other grandson Michael Morgan of Orem, his two nephews, JD and Jordan Tazoi of Sandy, and his "significant other", Cynthia K. Comeau. He is also survived by many uncles, aunts and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his younger brother Douglas Tazoi.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 12, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Garland Tabernacle located at 140 West Factory St., Garland. Friends and family may visit from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2004 at the Garland Tabernacle. Services are under the direction of Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home in Tremonton.
