Logan ? Donald Hunter Ford, 57, passed away in his sleep of natural causes at his home Friday, November 14, 2003. He was born July 8, 1946 to Lattimer Hake Ford, Sr. and Helen Rose Heinrich in Buffalo, New York. Don was raised in Buffalo and attended the local schools, graduating from Amherst High School in 1965. He attended Ricks College, where he met his future wife, Linda Sue Wininger after serving an LDS mission in Southern California. He married Linda in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in August of 1970. They were later divorced. From this union came a son, Brent Ford of Salt Lake City and a daughter, Cynthia Ann deceased. Over the years, Don has been employed at Burton Lumber, the LDS Church Distribution Center in Salt Lake City and ICON in Logan. He was a ?Mountain Man? at heart and enjoyed attending numerous Rendevous? throughout the region. He loved hunting with his black powder rifle. He was the owner and operator of Longhouse Trading. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and at the time of his death was a High Priest in the Logan 4th Ward. Don is survived by his son, Brent; Brothers: Dr. Gerald P. Carole Ford, Tempe, Az; Dr. Craig W. Fischer, Richmond, Ma; Sisters: Holly Tom Momberger, Boston, NY; Melinda Dick Keirnan, Solon, Oh; and Mimi Larry Heaps, Orem, Ut. He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Pat Ford Jarvis, Phoenix, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents, his step father Dr. Willard G. Fischer, daughter, Cindy; and a brother, Dr.Lattimer Hake Rocky Ford, Jr. Funeral services will be held at Logan 4th Ward, 294 North 100 East, on Wednesday, November 19, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. Friends and family may call at the church prior to services from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Services are under the direction of Nelson Funeral home.
