Yuma, AZ - Donald Lee Bellile, 72, beloved husband, father, papa, brother, and friend passed away on July 25, 2010. He was born in Washburn, Wisconsin on December 14, 1937 to Ernest and Ann Bellile. The youngest of four children, Don loved the land and the lake where he grew up. Shortly after graduating from Northland College he took a teaching position in Alaska. It was in Alaska that he met and married a red-headed girl from Idaho. They were later sealed in the Chicago Illinois LDS Temple. He said that marrying her was the best thing that ever happened to him. They returned to his home state of Wisconsin where they built their home in the Milwaukee area. Don was an Educator and High School Guidance Counselor for the Greenfield, Wisconsin School District. He retired in 1995 and later moved to his final residence in Yuma, Arizona. Don loved traveling, gardening, thinking up new ideas, staying up on current events and his little toy poodles. Also, he loved serving in his church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. His last great accomplishment was writing and publishing his autobiography, The Hybrid Man.
He will be greatly missed. His caring love and sense of humor are two of the greatest gifts that he gave and left his family and friends. Don is survived by his loving wife, Margaret, of 45 years, Yuma, Arizona; three daughters Karlyn F. Mike Busdicker, Morris, Illinois, Allison Bellile, North Salt Lake City, Utah, Danielle Steven Barfuss, Tremonton, Utah; eight grandchildren, Justin, Lauren, Shane, Austin, Elizabeth, Caleb, Bridger, and Jackson; two brothers Ernie Judy Bellile Washburn, Wisconsin, Dick Bellile Washburn, Wisconsin, sister Phyllis Dick Cuty Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin; five nephews and six nieces.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 2:00pm at the Tremonton 3rd Ward LDS Chapel, 9590 N. 6800 W., Tremonton, Utah 84337. Friends may call from 12:30-1:30. Interment will be at Riverview Cemetery in Tremonton, Utah following the funeral service. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made in Don Bellile's name to: The Sharp Foundation MCS Account 210, 8695 Spectrum Center Blvd., San Diego, CA 92123.
