Don Broadbent Southwick

Tremonton, UT ? Don Broadbent Southwick, 89, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2006. He was born at home October 8, 1916 to Eleazer and Sarah Geneva Broadbent Southwick in Lehi, UT. He married Byrl Lorraine Lewis June 13, 1940 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died April 17, 1946. He married Barbara Payne Milner. They later divorced. He married Paulette Butler November 24, 1992. Their marriage was solemnized November 24, 1993 in the Ogden LDS Temple.
Don lived predominantly in Lehi and Tremonton. He graduated from Lehi High School 1935. He studied business management at Stevens Henager in Ogden, UT. One of his favorite quotes is, ?When you?re through learning, you?re through.? He was a member of Tremonton Lion?s Club for 25 years where he served as President in 1974 for one year. He was a member of the Lehi Riding Club for ten years.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Obituary for
Saints, always serving. His favorite callings seemed to be the ones in which he was currently serving most recently home teaching.
Don is survived by his wife, his children: Tracy Vickie Lewis Southwick, Orem, UT; Phillip D Renate Southwick, Tremonton, UT; Robert Linda Milner, South Weber, UT; David W. Price, Tremonton, UT; Scott A. Katrina Price, Baumholder, Germany Currently on active duty in Iraq; Charles B. Sareena Price, Logan, UT; 12 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, 23 great, great grandchildren, one brother, Neven Ray Bonnie Southwick, Lehi, UT, and one sister, Joyce S. Ned Wilson, Lehi, UT.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Ralph and one sister, Dorothy.
Services will be held Tuesday September 12, at 11:00 a.m. at Tremonton South Stake Center, 1150 South Tremont Street, Tremonton with Bishop Glen Curtis officiating. Family and friends may call Monday September 11, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton, UT and 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church prior to the funeral. Interment at Lehi City Cemetery at 4:00 p.m.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers donations be made to the local missionary fund.
