Diane Michelle Costello Christensen Riverdale: Our beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandma Diane Michelle Costello Christensen, 60, died quietly and peacefully May 17, 2002, at her home. Diane was born on August 29, 1941 in Cody, Wyoming to Richard and Victoria Jerin Costello. Her family moved to Powell, Wyoming where she was raised and educated. She graduated from Powell High School in 1959. She attended Northwest Community College in Powell, transferring to Utah State University where she graduated with a degree in social work. She received a Utah Teaching Certificate in 1969 and taught school for the Weber School District for 17 years. Diane met her eternal mate, John L. Christensen, while working in Yellowstone National Park. They married on June 1, 1963. Later, on October 5, 1964, they were sealed for time and eternity in the Logan Temple. Diane was very creative. She enjoyed sewing, needlework, and tole painting. She made many precious gifts that her family will treasure forever. Diane also loved reading, camping, and her flower gardens. Her greatest joy though, was spending time with her family. She adored her five beautiful grandchildren, devoting much time to them. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her. Surviving are her husband John of Riverdale, a daughter, Erin Shaun Fowers of Roy, a son Jared Terri Christensen of Roy, sisters, Charmaine Costello of Chicago, Cheryl Larry Anderson of Kemmerer, Wyoming, and her grandchildren, Jessica, Lindsey, Jamie, Aubree and Ryan John. A viewing will be held Wednesday May 22, 2002, 10:00 a.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton, followed by graveside services at 11:30 a.m. at the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery, with Bishop Brad Galvez officiating.
