Denzil Kay Forsberg

Avon ? Denzil Kay Forsberg passed away August 24, 2004, in Salt Lake City at the University of Utah Hospital after a valiant battle with cancer. Denny was born April 29, 1945, in Logan, Utah. He was the fourth son of LeRoy and Edna Howell Forsberg. After graduating from South Cache High School, he moved to Montpelier, Idaho and established his own business ?Denny?s Home Furnishings?. He had a variety of hobbies which included snowmobiling, water skiing, hunting, fishing, piloting his own plane and trap shooting. One of his most cherished accomplishments was when he shot 199 out of a possible 200 during the world championship trap shoot in 1978. He also spent many years in community service including Emergency Medical Technician, Ambulance Driver and Search and Rescue. Denny married Judy Larsen from Montpelier, Idaho later divorced. They had two sons, Jeffrey and Craig. He is survived by his mother Edna of Avon; Wilford Sherrie of South Jordan, Gene Gayle and Lynn Linda of Paradise and Carlene Lynnis Parkinson of Avon. He was preceded in death by his father, LeRoy William Forsberg. A viewing will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 27 at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North in Logan. Graveside services will be Saturday, August 28 at 11:00 a.m. at the Avon Cemetery. In case of inclement weather, services will be held at Nelson Funeral Home.
