Del Hall

August 23, 1939 — January 24, 2025

Logan, Utah

Delwin L. Hall - 85 years - passed away peacefully at home in Logan, UT, with family by his side. He will be greatly missed. Del was born in Blackfoot, ID, the son of Cume J. Hall and Phyllis Anderson Hall. He received his education in Blackfoot, graduating from Blackfoot High School. Del was Student Body President his Senior year and he excelled in sports. He loved the outdoors; enjoyed Hunting, Fishing and especially Golf. Del has achieved a Hole-In-One twice - something he was always proud of. His professional trade was as a meat-cutter. He worked for the Safeway organization for 25 years and later for Lee’s, where he retired. On July 20, 1968 he married LaWana Rudy, gaining a ready made family with step-sons Eric and Dennis.

Del enjoyed board and card games. There were always lots of good times and family fun. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Del and LaWana were sealed as eternal companions on August 19, 2009 in the Logan LDS Temple.

Del is survived by his wife LaWana, step-sons Eric (Sara) Orahood, Dennis (Nadine) Orahood, one step-grandson David (Lorena) Orahood, three step-granddaughters, Megan (Steve) Costuma, Alisa Dodenhoff and Kali Orahood. He is survived by five step-grandchildren, Logan, Emilia, Jason, Connor and Camryn. He is also survived by his brother Berlin (Marliss) Hall sisters Pat Burke and Susan (Duke) Hill. He also has many Nephews and Nieces.

Del was preceded in death by two daughters (from a previous marriage) Lisa and Lynette, his parents and two sisters Ranae Windley and Carol Hall. He’s also preceded by his Brothers-in-Law Rolla Windley, Mike Burke, and Nephew Jay Burke.

Del was always ready to serve wherever he was needed. We love you Del!!

The family would like to thank Intermountain Health Hospice for providing such good care of Del during his last days - especially Rohn and Aaron. 

Funeral services are  Monday, February 3, 2025 at 11 am at Nelson Funeral Home (162 E 400 N) with a viewing from 9:30-10:30 am. Interment will follow at the Mendon City Cemetery.
