DeLown Edward ?Jake? Price Bear River City: DeLown Edward ?Jake? Price, 74, died July 23, 2002, in Brigham City. He was born November 12, 1927, in Tremonton the son of Edward Ezekiel and Margaret Laura Smith Price. He married Garnett S. Wolverton on June 16, 1949, in Tremonton. He was reared and educated in Tremonton. He had lived in Logan, Garland and Bear River City. He started to help his dad move houses as a young boy and then learned to drive trucks before his feet could reach the pedals. He also worked construction, at Thiokol, and retired from Harris Truck and Equipment as a truck driver. He enjoyed deer hunting and camping with his wife, children and grandchildren who were his greatest love. He started a Shetland Pony Chariot racing club, which traveled to many towns to entertain. The funds raised from these events was donated to help build churches. He was a great story tellers. Jake was a member of the Bear River First Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is survived by his wife, Garnett; children, Wendell Estelle ?Sam?, Bear River City; Hal Price; Ryla Stan Haramoto, of Tremonton; Kelly Lynn Danny Trammell, Hurricane; LaDee Price, Elwood; grandson, J W Price being raised by his grandparents; 17 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a brother, Owen Jean Price, Grace, ID; sisters, Irene Ray Collom, Tremonton; Lois McCallister, Soda Springs, ID; Tamara Joe Johnson, Cub River, ID; Debra Don Christensen, Tremonton. He was preceded in death by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth and Cleon Jorgensen; Edna and Warren McCallister, and Roy Mc Callister; a baby brother and sister Glen and Doris. Funeral Services will be held, Friday, July 26, 2002, 11:00 a.m. at the Bear River LDS Chapel, 5870 North 4700 West. Friends may call, Thursday, July 25th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and Friday, July 26th from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the Church. Interment will be in the Plymouth Cemetery.
