DeLoras ?W? Harris Tremonton/Clearfield - DeLoras ?W? Harris passed peacefully back into the presence of his Heavenly Father and into the anxious arms of his precious Sweetheart and beloved family on February 24, 2002. He was born in Bothwell, Utah, January 7, 1910 to Joseph Daniel and Mary Waldron Harris. He graduated from Bear River High School, after which he served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Brooklyn, NY. He graduated from Utah State University where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon. On May 19, 1939, he married the love of his life, Esther Stohl in the Logan Temple. In 1942 he enlisted in the US Army and served in Hawaii during WWII. He served his Church faithfully in many capacities all his life including many years as a member of the High Council. Nothing in the world meant more to him than his family whom he always put above his own needs. He had enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening. But most of all he was an avid sports fan, never missing a chance to watch baseball, basketball or football. He was a great golfer and even took up skiing at age 56. During his career he owned a turkey farm, the Main Theatre, The Classic Shop and retired in 1977 after many years at Hill Air Force Base. He and Esther lived and served joyfully in Tremonton until January 2000 when they moved to Chancellor Gardens in Clearfield, where they made many dear friends and were loved by all. His angel Esther passed away in July 2001, but he decided he had to stick around for the Olympics and he made it to the morning of closing ceremonies. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers and sister, LaMar, LeRoy, Orlando, Verald, Lloyd, Ruby, and Reed. He is survived by his brother, Jay Dee Alice Harris, his daughter, Randolyn Rick J Wadman of Layton, Steven L Karla Sorensen Harris of Kearns and grandchildren, Jaime, Michael, David, Lindsay, Jeffrey, and Nathan.
