Delbert Child Firth

Bothwell, UT ? Delbert Child Firth, 92, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2007 after spending four years at the Logan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born February 10, 1915 in Roy, UT to Albert ?Bert? Young Firth and Jennie Rosalia Child Firth. He graduated from Bear River High School. He married Dorothy Summers April 11, 1934 in the Logan LDS Temple. She died March 20, 1979. He then married Doris Remple July 7, 1979 in Edmonton Canada. Delbert was a farmer and also worked with draft horses. He enjoyed being a softball coach and serving as a temple ordinance worker.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as Bishop?s Counselor, Bishop and Home Teacher.
He is survived by one son, Ronald D. Marie Firth, Pleasant Grove, UT and a daughter, Janalee Roberts, Logan, UT, 15 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild. Also surviving are his sister, June Stephen Call, Bountiful, UT and a sister-in-law, Ethel Mae Firth currently serving a mission.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Firth; a son, Dale S. Firth; two brothers: Dean and Clair Firth and a sister, Cleon Nicholas.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at Bothwell Ward LDS Chapel, 10350 West 11600 North, Bothwell. Friends and family may call from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and from 9:30-10:40 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Interment at Bothwell Valley View Cemetery
