Debra Joyce Lehman Maddern, age 49, passed away Friday August 29th, 2003, at St. Marks hospital in Salt Lake City, from complications following surgery. Debby was born on May 21, 1954 in Logan Utah, to Erwin Erv Lehman and Joyce ?N? Hall. Debby was blessed with a beautiful singing voice and used this talent to bless the lives of others. She was active in several theatrical productions, enjoyed scrap booking, and most of all, spending time with her children. She had a great sense of humor, and enjoyed laughing with her family and friends. Her quick wit will be missed by all who knew her. Debby was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and served from 1976-1977 in Austria Vienna Mission. She has also served faithfully in many positions within the church. Debby married Daniel C. Maddern on September 25, 1981 in the Logan LDS Temple. They lived in California, Kansas, North Carolina, and after Dan?s death on July 14, 1993, she and her 3 children moved back to Utah and have resided in River Heights for the past 10 years. At the time of death, she was employed as a receptionist/secretary as Spillman Technologies. Debby is survived by her three children, Heidi Jean, Christopher Cossen and Whitney Lee Maddern. She is also survived by her parents, and the following brother and sisters, Terrie Luckie Bryant, Lynette Duke Williams, Valerie Alan Ringer, Cynthia Blair Thompson, Kerry Becky Lehman, and Charlotte David Maughan. Debby was preceded in death by her husband Dan, brother, David Jensen, and niece Angela Joyce Ringer. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 3, 2003 in the Providence Stake Center, 800 South 600 East, River Heights, UT. There will be a viewing from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2, at the Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North in Logan. There will also be a viewing from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services at the church. Debby will be buried next to her sweetheart in the Logan Cemetery.
