Deanne Wilcox Allen

Deanne Wilcox Allen, 97, of Hyrum passed from this earthly existence on Thursday, August 31, 2023.

Deanne was born April 8, 1926 in Preston, Idaho. She was the oldest child of Francis L (Frank) and Florence Hawkes Wilcox. She married Ira Ray Allen on September 9, 1946 in the Salt Lake Temple.

Deanne was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in all of the church auxiliaries as well as the extraction program and in Humanitarian Service.

She is survived by her children Nedra A. Bingham (James), Bruce W. Allen, Karen A. Burnett (Robert), David W. Allen (Erieka) and Ira W. Allen. 33 grandchildren, 104 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by the following siblings: Shirley Nichols (Carroll, deceased), Gordon H. Wilcox (Cherry), Ella Simons (Jerold), John H. Wilcox (Jeanette, deceased), sisters-in-law Dixie Wilcox and Marjean Wilcox.

She was preceeded in death by her spouse, Ira Ray Allen, son, Clair W. Allen, daughter, Janet Allen Wells, her parents as well as brothers Frank H. Wilcox, Francis H. Wilcox, Paul H. Wilcox, Blaine H. Wilcox, sister Beth Wilcox, grandson, Dustin Ray Burnett, son-in-law James W. Bingham, and great-grandson Samuel Gene Fukui.

The family would like to thank the staff at Blacksmith Fork Assisted Living Center for the help and care given to Deanne over the past four years.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at the LDS chapel located at 455 E 100 S. in Hyrum. Services will be preceded by a viewing from 10:00 - 11:30 am. Interment will be in the Hyrum City Cemetery.
