David Brian Munk

David Brian Munk, 53, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2008 at Chaparral, New Mexico. He was born April 6, 1955 to Clayne E Munk and Bernice Sorensen Munk in Logan, Utah. He was the only son and has three sisters, Judy Kay Hensley of Miami, FL, Linda Speth of Rocklin, CA and Valerie Blevins, also of Rocklin CA. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Contreras Munk and three sons, Andrew, Alan and Austin, and one daughter, Anita Munk Andersen and son-in-law, Steven Andersen, and a grandson, David Andersen. As a young man David spent 10 summers working with his grandparents, Edith and Vernal Munk, on their farm in Benson, Utah. He served a mission for the LDS Church in Chicago, Illinois. He attended Grossmont College in La Mesa, CA and later the Solano College in Fairfield CA. He was employed in Concord, CA and in El Paso, Texas as a Lab technician for an oil refinery.
Funeral services will be held at 11:a.m. on Wednesday, May 28 at the Nelson Funeral home in Logan, Utah. Interment will immediately follow the funeral in the Logan Cemetery. Condolences may be extended to the family online at www.nelsonfuneralhome.com .
