David Maughan Mitchell passed away May 18, 2013, from a sudden infection resulting in organ failure. Born Oct. 7, 1954, David graduated from Logan High, attended USU and served an LDS mission in Toronto, Canada. A perpetual traveler, Dave knew every highway, byway, overpass, underpass and bypass across the United States, and enjoyed seeing the country from his truck and motorcycle. He had a brilliant mind that never tired of learning, and his endless search for knowledge developed into many skills he shared with family and friends. Preceded in death by his father, Bentley Mitchell in 1959, his mother, Ruth Mitchell in 2011 and brother Edgar Mitchell in 1985. He is survived by a daughter, April Kathryn, two grandchildren, four sisters; Eleanor Mike Bishop, Martha Gene McDaniel, Margaret Mitchell and Suzanne Brent Romig, a sister-in-law Anita Mitchell, and numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing will be at noon, Wednesday, May 29, at Nelson Mortuary in Logan, Utah, followed by memorial service and burial at the Logan City Cemetery.
