Garland - David Herbert Byhaug was born June 19, 1938 in Dawson, Minnesota, to Thorvin and Ethelyn Byhaug, the second of six siblings. He passed away May 1, 2011 at his home. He served four years in the Navy, moved to California in the early 1960's, and spent the last twenty years in his beloved Garland, Utah. His creativity and intelligence were evidenced by his musical ability, artistic flair, woodworking skills, antique restoration, farming aptitude, love for animals and keen sense of humor. He was able to marshall his incredible knowledge into practical outlets that served many. As said to him last week, "When God was handing out talents, you must have muscled your way to the front." David's devotion to his friends was singular and touching. They and our family will greatly miss him. The tremendous loss of our brother and life without David is offset only by the knowledge that we will reunite again. Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Garland City Cemetery. Friends may call at the time of service at the cemetery
