Darrell LaMar Godfrey, 80, of Fielding, Utah died April 7, 2005 at the Logan Regional Hospital. He was born February 9, 1925 in Clarkston, Utah to Elwen H. and Vivien Larsen Godfrey. He married Bonnie Ruth Hess September 12, 1946 in Logan, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan Temple July 18, 1960. Darrell was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had held many positions. He had honorably served in the US Army in the World War II in the Philippines. He farmed all of his life and also worked for the Union Pacific Railroad, Thiokol and Utah and Idaho Sugar Company. His family was his life. Darrell and Bonnie were blessed with five children, Gail D. Janet Godfrey, Rex W. Vida Godfrey, both of Fielding, Lyle E. Vickie Godfrey, Doug and Trudy Fuhriman, both of Tremonton and Lynette Dale Price of Samaria, Idaho. They were blessed with 24 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Darrell is survived by his sisters, Eulala Simper of Clarkston, Wanda Jacobsen of Weston, Idaho, Glenna Lamb of Hyde Park and LuDean Jacobsen of Preston, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Ilene Furhiman, one grandson, Lance Godfrey, two brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2005 at 12:00 noon at the Fielding Stake Center located at 4375 West 15600 North, Fielding. Family and friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, April 11, 2005 at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home located at 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and also from 10:30-11:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning at the church prior to the funeral. Interment will be at the Fielding Cemetery.
