Dallin James Harris

Dallin James Harris, 37, died Tuesday, August 1, 2023 of injuries received in an auto accident in Logan, UT. He was born on January 20, 1986 in Rexburg, ID the son of Randy Spence and Rita Flamm Harris. He was raised in Salem, Idaho.
He attended Shumway Academy and Sugar Salem schools. In High School he played the saxophone in the band, enjoyed the projects he made in wood shop class, participated in seminary sometimes playing the piano for devotional, and loved attending the activities with his friends. He graduated from High School in Sugar City Idaho in 2005.
He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and completed a service mission at the St. Anthony Idaho Family History Center.
He worked at Teton Grill and Pizza Pie Café in Rexburg. Where he developed many skills, including his ability to interact with people.
He moved to Logan, UT with his family in 2006 and began working as a curtesy clerk at Smith’s Food and Drug. This was his favorite job and he received several awards for excellence in customer service.
When health problems developed that ended his ability to work, he stayed involved with the community by volunteering weekly at the food pantry and searching out ways to be of service to others.
Nobody was a stranger to Dallin--he was friends with everyone he met (sometimes they just didn’t know it yet!!). He always saw the good in everything. Most people never understood his real struggles or his real problems.
Dallin is survived by his parents Randy and Rita Harris and 4 siblings: Jared, Brandon, Conrad (Aubree) Harris, Maurine (Trevor) Lee and nine nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 6-8pm Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 162 E 400 N, Logan, UT.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am Friday, August 11, 2023 at the North Rexburg Stake Center, 314 E 2nd North, Rexburg, ID preceded by family receiving friends from 10-11 am. Burial will be in the Sugar City, ID cemetery.
In lieu of flowers please donate to the Logan City Library or the Cache Food Pantry.
