Dale Allen Nichols

Tremonton - Dale Allen Nichols, 52, of Tremonton, returned to his Heavenly Father in his home surrounded by family and friends on November 3, 2003. He was born December 5, 1950 in Spokane, Washington. He was the son of Wilbert Howard and Georgianna Jane Koehler Nichols. At the time of death he was married to Janelle Briggs Nichols and was the proud father of Skyler and Richard Briggs. In 1969 he was inducted into the United States Navy in El Paso, Texas. He served his country for twenty-three years leaving the Navy on August 31, 1993 as a disabled veteran. Before his stroke he was a substitute school teacher in Tremonton and Brigham City and a student at Utah State University working toward a Utah Teaching Certificate. He was the Chaplain of the Tremonton F.O.E. He is lovingly survived by his wife Janelle Nichols and two stepsons Skyler and Richard Briggs of Tremonton, one stepdaughter Angela Steele of Michigan, one brother Howard Nichols of Honeyville, and one sister Terry Peartree of El Paso, Texas and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 6, 2003 at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home located at 111 North 100 East, Tremonton. Friends and family may visit prior to services from 12:00-12:45 p.m. Interment will be with full military honors at the Calls Fort Cemetery in Honeyville, Utah.
