Dale K Christensen

July 30, 1958 — November 26, 2023

Dale K Christensen took his final ride home with his family by his side on November 26, 2023, after a valiant fight against brain cancer. He was born in Tremonton, Utah on July 30, 1958 to DeLoy and VaLouie Christensen. Dale was the second of five children. He spent his early years in Garland, Utah until his father passed away when he was seven years old. His mother remarried and moved the family to Logan, Utah.
Dale attended Logan High School and participated in the orchestra where he played the bass. It provided him the opportunity to travel to Europe which he talked about often. Dale enjoyed playing many sports especially basketball, softball, and golf. He was an excellent water skier and snow skier. He spent many days with family in the mountains hunting and riding horses. Later in life, he married his sweetheart, Leisa Hillyard. Dale and Leisa raised four children together in Smithfield, Utah. Dale was the best dad and loved his family. He spent many hours watching ball games, horse shows, high school rodeos and dance recitals. He loved to have family parties and make memories with his loved ones. He was looking forward to retiring and becoming the #1 babysitter for his grandkids. He was the best grandpa.
Dale worked for 47 years at Schrieber Foods. He made many lifelong friends and valued the experiences he had there.
He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He fulfilled many callings and, most recently, in the nursery where all the kids called him “Grandpa.”
Dale excelled in all he did and will be greatly missed. His legacy will live on through his family.
He is survived by his wife, Leisa, children: Eric (Josi) Christensen, Jamie (Dallas) Thurston, and Kelcee (Wyatt) Downing, grandchildren: Ray, Talon, Levi, Navie, and siblings: Linda (David) Hansen, Val Dee (Lannis) Christensen, Bob Jones, and Kevin (Tara) Jones.
