On March 21, 2025 exactly 12 years, and 1 week after his sweet bride left for Eternity, our Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather, left this mortality to join her in the Eternities. D'Vaughn Hansen was born on December 15, 1935 to Lloyd Herbert Hansen, and Lucy Mae Kunz Hansen in Lewiston, Utah. He was the 9th of 11th children born to them. LaRue, Lloyd, Lucy, Jay, Idonna, Gwendolyn, Clarence, Darlene, D'Vaughn, Ronald, and Gordon. He graduated from North Cache High School in 1953, then went to California to work in the sheet metal industry. He met Mom at a fireside. She wrote to him for 2 years while he was off to serve a mission in Germany for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, from 1956-1958. After he returned from an honorable mission, He and Mom were married in the Los Angeles Temple on June 19, 1959. Dad & Mom after a time, moved to Utah, via, Logan, Richmond, and finally Lewiston, where he operated a Dairy farm for many years. Dad served faithfully in many leadership positions in the Church, however, his favorite was being a Sunday School teacher.
He is survived by his 5 children, Drew (Reatha), Audrey (Wade), Greg (Renae), Clay (Paige), and Todd (Aniessa). 34 Grandchildren, and 31 Great-Grandchildren with 3 deceased. Adison, Linkin, and RyKer. Dad is also survived by his Brother Gordan (Anita), and Sister - in-law Beth Hansen. He was a former member of the Lewiston 3rd Ward.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday March 29th, 2025 at 12 o'clock noon at the Lewiston 3rd and 4th Ward building LDS Church 16 South Main in Lewiston. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. Interment will be held at the Lewiston Cemetery following the service.
