Plymouth, UT – Craig C. Starr, 44, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2009 doing what he loved, serving others. He was born February 4, 1965 to Lanny H. and Berneice Faye Pingel Starr in Tremonton, UT. He graduated from Bear River High School. He married Trudy Roylance in 1984. They had a daughter and a son. He later married Jayme Roderick in 1988. They had a daughter and a son. He has been married to Barbara Marie Schraeder since November 4, 1999.
He worked at La-Z-Boy for 15 years and at ATK for the past five years as production specialist. The most important thing to Craig was his children and grandchildren. He was a great provider and loved his wife with all he had. He enjoyed volunteering as an EMT/Fire Fighter and was currently serving as Plymouth Fire Chief. He loved 4-wheeling, camping, hunting, snowmobiling and the outdoors.
Craig was an elder in the Belmont 1st Ward and served with the Cub Scouts.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; children: Angela Tyson Jensen, Brian Kristina Starr, Ryan Starr and Zachary Starr; three grandchildren: Hunter, Hurley and Damian; his mother and step father: Berneice and Art Peabody; his father and step mother: Lanny and Arlene Starr; ten half brothers and sisters: Richelle, Stephanie, Angie, Gary Allen, Wendy, James, Jason, Jeff, Justin and Darren; three step brothers, Troy, Danny and Bill; and one step sister, Alice. He is preceded in death by his grandparents.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 30, 2009 11:00 a.m. at the Belmont 1st Ward Church, 16925 North 5200 West, Riverside with Bishop Jan-Erik Schow officiating. A viewing will be held Tuesday, December 29, 2009 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and Wednesday from 9:15-10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be at the Plymouth Cemetery where a Fireman's Tribute will be held.
The family suggests donations to the Plymouth Fire Department.
