Craig Melroy Larsen

Our beloved son, brother, father and grandfather, Craig Melroy Larsen returned to his Heavenly Father on January 1, 2008. He died peacefully in his sleep, shortly after being diagnosed with a heart ailment. Craig was born on February 26, 1951 in Rexburg, ID, the eldest son of Garnel Melroy Larsen and Charlene Nielsen Larsen. He attended schools in Ogden, Utah, graduating from Ogden High School in 1969. He served in the National Guard and Air Force Reserves. As an industrious youth he held many jobs. His first job was chicken delivery. After beginning work at Sambo?s Restaurant in Logan, at the age of 22 he transferred to Yuma, AZ as the youngest manager of a Sambo?s in franchise history. After returning to Utah, Craig worked for Miller?s Feed Yard with his uncle Cardell Sarge Nielsen, Meadow Gold Dairy, Larsen Equipment, and at the time of his death he was owner and operator of CML Equipment and Sales Distribution, Inc. He enjoyed sports, being a big fan of the Green Bay Packers, Utah Jazz and the USU Aggies. Craig married Margaret Petersen, of Hyrum, on March 3, 1972 in the Logan LDS Temple. They had one son, Benjamin Craig Larsen Lancaster, PA. They were later divorced. On October 24, 1975, Craig married Dena Kay Huffman Bingham in Yuma, AZ. They had three sons: Brent North Ogden, Chad Hyrum and Kyle Tara, North Ogden, and one daughter Amy Harrisville. They were later divorced. On March 3, 1984, Craig married Brenda Lee Franklin in Hyrum Utah. From their union two daughters were born; Jennifer and Trista Chandler, Arizona. They later divorced. Craig is survived by his children, his parents, his siblings: Corey Garnel Larsen MaryAnn, Kevin Grant Larsen, and Mary Ann Larsen Henke Robert, and by seven grandchildren including Chad?s son, his favorite sidekick, office buddy, and little man, Jaxon Chad Larsen who he lived for; watching sports, doing school work and going to McDonalds for lunch. He was preceded in death by his maternal and fraternal grandparents. Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Saturday, Jan 5, 2008 at the Nelson Funeral Home chapel, 162 E 400 N, Logan, Utah. A viewing will be held from 12:30 to 1:30pm prior to the service. Interment will be in the Hyrum City Cemetery. Condolences may be extended to the family online at www.nelsonfuneralhome.com .
