Corwyn Keith Winegar, 77, died of natural causes Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at his home in Logan, Utah. Born June 1, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah, Corwyn grew up in Bountiful, Utah. He graduated from Bountiful High School and went on to receive an Associate Degree in Humanities at Weber State College. He served his country in the Utah National Guard with an honorable discharge. Moving to Cache Valley in 1971, he was a custodian for the Logan City School District until he retired. During his tenure as an employee of the school district, he received the Employee of the Year award two times. He was loved and respected by the faculty, staff, and the students.
In addition to his unconditional love of his family, Corwyn loved animals. He not only loved his pets, but loved to spend time in his backyard feeding and watching the birds that flocked to see him.
A devoted father, grandfather, brother and uncle, Corwyn is survived by his five children, Derik Winegar, Heather Winegar, Chelsie Winegar, Autumn Winegar, and Austin Flinn. He is also survived by six grandchildren and two sisters, Anita Winegar and Alayne Winegar, as well as nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
Corwyn had a deep faith in God and lived an exemplary life as a spiritual, generous, giving, loving, thoughtful man.
In place of a funeral, a celebration of his life will be held at the Mt. Naomi Vineyard, 4460 N 400 E, Hyde Park, Utah, 5 pm to 7 pm, on Saturday, June 15, 2024.
