Corine Gay Williams Brandt

March 8, 1920 — December 24, 2007

Corine Gay Brandt passed away December 24, 2007, in Tremonton, Utah. She was born in Rexburg, Idaho, to Arnold and Luella Huskinson Williams on March 8, 1920. She graduated from Madison High School and Ricks College, then taught school in Edmunds, Idaho. She later attended the University of Idaho and was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority. While attending the University of Idaho she met Robert Brandt. They were married on New Year?s Day in 1942. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. Bob joined the Army Air Corps. He and Gay lived at various military bases in the United States during his military service. They later settled in Salt Lake City with their two children, Carolyn and David. Gay graduated from the University of Utah and taught third grade at Morningside Heights and Rosecrest Elementary. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is survived by her husband, Robert, and daughter, Carolyn Lynn Michaelis. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Reed Williams, and son, David R. Brandt. Funeral services will be Monday, December 31, 2007 11:00 a.m. at Valley View Stake Center, 3900 South 2245 East, Salt Lake City, UT. Family and friends may call Sunday, December 30, 2007 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton, UT and from 9:00-10:45 a.m. Monday at the church. Interment at Garland Cemetery.
