Cora Lucille Jenkins Blotter, 88, passed away due to complications from liver disease, on November 11, 2002 at her daughter?s home in Brigham City. She returned to her Heavenly Father after a courageous battle, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Newton, Utah on August 3, 1914 a daughter of Henry Evan and Lettie Elizabeth Jenkins. She married Walter Blotter on February 24, 1940 in Brigham City. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. Cora was very active in the LDS Church, where she served in various organizations. Her life was one of love and service to her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking, quilt making and being with her family, who will cherish their memories of special times shared with her. She was Postmaster in the Newton Post Office, where she loved serving the people of her community. She is survived by her daughters Jeanette Jay Robinson of Logan, Linda Richard Felt of Brigham City, one son, Jay Dianne Blotter of Newton and a step-son Larry Nancy Blotter of Pocatello, Idaho. She has 17 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers and two sisters. The family expresses a special thanks for loving care to Dr. John Markeson, and appreciation to Hospice for their ?Angel Care? during her last week. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 16, 2002 at 12 Noon in the Newton Ward Chapel. Friends may call at Nelson Funeral Home, 85 South Main, Smithfield on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday at the Church from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Newton Cemetery.
