Cora Forsgren Stevens Atkinson

Tremonton, UT – Cora Forsgren Stevens Atkinson, 92, passed away Monday, February 11, 2008. She was born November 7, 1915 to John Henry and Charlotte Wood Forsgren in Willard, UT and grew up in Howell, UT attending schools in Brigham City and Howell. She graduated from Bear River High School in 1933. She was Miss Box Elder County in 1933. She married Frank Farrell Stevens August 22, 1933 in Ogden, UT. The marriage was solemnized in the Logan Temple November 30, 1937. Cora and Frank lived in Brigham City, Corinne, Wellsville and Tremonton, UT. Frank passed away August 7, 1980. She worked as a saleslady for many years. She also, enjoyed her work in Relief Society and Primary. Cora loved to travel and visit historical places with her husband. She enjoyed her family and friends. Surviving are one daughter, Carma Don Robinson of La Mirada, California; Daughter in-law, Connie Bruce-deceased Stevens, Ogden, UT; two grandchildren: Scott Irlanda Stevens and Shelley Tom Walker of Brigham City; five great-grandchildren: Trent Walker, Karly Stevens, Casey Stevens, Ally Walker and Jenna Walker; two sisters: Vaudys Hoover, Mesa, AZ and Lois Norr O'Dell Arbon, Scottsdale, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Bruce and brother, Cleon. Services will be held Saturday, February 16, 2008 1:30 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton, UT. Friends and family may call from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2008 and Saturday from 12:15-1:15 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment at Brigham City Cemetery.
