Connie Jo Hopper resident of Smithfield Utah former resident of Moab Utah passed peacefully August 20, 2004 attended by family at her home in Smithfield. Connie was born on May 15, 1946 in Rupert Idaho to Dora R. Stradley and Milton Enoch Nielsen. She spent her childhood primarily in Idaho. Connie married Ray D Hopper in 1964. Her and Ray had three children Obby age 38 of Phoenix, Annette age 35 of Loveland, CO and Mindy age 32 of Las Vegas. Connie is also survived by her 2nd husband and love Jay R Griffin whom she spent the last 20 years with. Connie Grammy loved her kids and grandkids Danielle, Kyler, Veronica, Kohl, Levi, Molly and Sydney. She also had a very special way with older people and animals. Connie got her pleasures and happiness from family and the simple things in life. Connie held several different jobs between being a loving mom, wife and caretaker. But the ones she enjoyed the most were the ones she got to interact with the public such as driving the 7-12 grade bus from Paradox, Co to Nucla. She will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her.
A celebration of her life will be held, Sunday, August 22, 2004 at 12 noon in the Amalga Town Hall in Sugar Park and August 29, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. in the North side camping area of Buckeye Reservoir on the LaSal Mountains. Friends and family are invited.
