Colleen Gay Urie Anderson

Colleen Gay Urie Anderson passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, November 26, 2006. She was born April 30, 1943 in Portland, Oregon to Nim and Norine Urie. Colleen worked many years at Deer Cliff Inn and loved the people she met. She was also working at Presto at the time of her death. Some of her hobbies and interests were cooking, her home, her animals, and the beautiful outdoors. Colleen also belonged to a pinochle club and the Lady Elks. Special thanks to all family and friends for their love and support and the hospice nurses for all their care. Colleen is survived by her husband, Don; her son Carl Kristy; step-daughters: Lora Lee Jeff Cooper; Lesa Bart Lott; Leslie Beutler; grandchildren: Ashlee Cooper, Dirk Cooper, Eliece Lott Simonson, Chris Lott, Hunter Anderson, Lexi Beutler and great grandchildren: Dylan and Ciel Lott. She is survived by one brother: Gilbert Urie; and four sisters: Sheri Gilbert; Laura Layne; Joyce Farmer; Carma Andersen; and a very special friend, Joy Dougherty. A viewing for family and friends will be held at Nelson Funeral Home, 85 South Main, Smithfield from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, November 29, 2006 and Thursday, November 30 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Clarkston City Cemetery.
