CLYDE L. NELSON Clearfield - Clyde L. Nelson, 68, of Clearfield passed away Friday, June 11, 2004 at Manor Care in Ogden, after a very long battle with Dementia, several strokes, and complications due to surgery. He was born on March 3, 1936 in Tremonton, the son of Oleen & Damsel Christensen Nelson. He married Darlene Baty on December 16, 1960 in Malad, Idaho. Clyde was one of seven children and worked on the family farm in Bear River City, where he was reared and educated, attended Bear River High School. After High School he joined the Army National Reserves. He lived in various places. He worked various jobs and for W.R. White Pipe Company for 17 years before medically disabled. Clyde was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Clyde is survived by his wife Darlene of Clearfield; one son - Larry Nelson of Clearfield; three daughters - Debi Melvin Willette of Phoenix, AZ, Julie Michael Trimble of Roy, UT, Michelle Derek Fitzgerald of Layton; two brothers Neil Merrilyn Nelson of Bear River City, and Robert Judy Nelson of Corinne; three sisters - Peggy Ken Porritt, Mitzi Nessler, and Kristy Craig Christensen all of Bear River City; daughter-in -law - Karen Nelson of Riverdale; brother-in law - Richard Nessler of Tremonton; seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter - Christine; one sister - Audrey Spry; and one grandson - Zachary Trimble. Funeral Services will be held at Noon on Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton. Friends may call on Tuesday from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Bear River City Cemetery.
