CloDean Munk Riches

May 23, 1925 — April 2, 2018

Our dear mother, grandmother and great grandmother CloDean Riches passed from this earthly life into the loving arms of her husband and daughter on April 2, 2018, at Maple Springs Assisted Living in North Logan, Utah. Mother was born May 23, 1925 to Lionel L. Munk and Gurena Johnson Munk, the 6th of 7 children. She was proud to grow up in Benson on the family farm and all that it entailed. She developed lifelong friendships with her cousins and friends from there.
She was educated in Cache County schools, graduating from North Cache High School. She loved going to dances and having fun. After high school she worked as a secretary in the Triple A office which she enjoyed. During her single years she served a mission in the New England States for the LDS Church It was one of the most memorable times in her life.
She married John Q Riches on Oct. 10, 1952 in the Logan Temple. They made their home in Smithfield where she lived for 65 years. To this union 3 children were born, Alan, Marla and Lorna. She dedicated the rest of her life to being the best wife and mother she could be. Her house and yard were always spotless and pristine. She was an excellent cook. Everything was always made from scratch.
Mom loved serving in the church. She held many positions including Relief Society President. One of her favorite callings was doing German extraction work. She loved helping others and was a kind sweet friend and neighbor.

She also leaves behind 5 grandchildren, Zeb Parker, Gentry {Zeb} Atkinson, Robyn {Anthony} Van Natter, Shanna {Brandon} Monroy, and Brandon Riches, and 3 great grandchildren, Wyatt, Maverick and Waylon Atkinson.
